Founded by Paloma Newton and Jackson Gritching, Elita is a longevity platform for dogs, built to make preventative, personalised care something every dog can get, not a luxury for a few. And like many good ideas, it started with something personal.
After learning that their own dog, brilliantly named Edgar Allan Paws, was predisposed to a number of health conditions, Paloma and Jackson started looking into what they could do earlier to give him more options later in life. That curiosity eventually became Elita and an ambitious idea: bringing stem-cell banking for pets to Australia.

Since then, the business has kept evolving. Today, Elita is looking beyond future treatment options and towards a more preventative approach to pet health — bringing together better information so owners can notice changes earlier and make more informed decisions about their dogs’ health.
There is some seriously sophisticated science behind it. But at its core, Elita is trying to shift pet health from something we react to, to something we can get ahead of.
We’ve had the privilege of supporting Elita through its early years as it developed its product, raised capital and evolved its vision for the business.
Startups rarely stand still. The ambition grows, the priorities evolve and the support needed behind the scenes changes with it. Elita’s own journey reflects that. What began with stem-cell banking has grown into a much broader vision for preventative pet health.
Yet despite all that change, the thread has remained the same: more good years for good boys and girls, and more time with those who love them.
